In Mideel in Disk Two, (before it's destroyed) there is a locked door at the back of the weapon shop, exit the shop and go across the bridge and around the back. Move around the area until you hear a sort of click, then press

until you find a 'useless key'. Go back to the weapon shop, and try out the key on the door... But the key breaks and the shop owner will ask what you were doing, tell the truth and say you tried to open the door and he'll say it isn't a real door anyway and gives you the Cursed Ring! - Steal from Ultimate Weapon.
