                     Cloud Strife  Cloud is the protagonist of Advent Children. He's a skilled fighter equipped with a variety of swords similar to the ones used in Final Fantasy VII. He is best described as a lone wolf. A man of few words with a confusing and rather tragic history which took part two years ago in the Square hit, Final Fantasy VII. Cloud blames himself for the loss of a loved one in FFVII and cannot let go of his despair. Cloud is infected by Geostigma, a sickness that is caused by the body cleansing itself of Jenova cells. Cloud is trying to rid the world and himself of this terrible desease. In his latest epic adventure we find him and the old FFVII party joining forces with the Turks and combatting a young group that is causing havoc in Edge, near the ruins of Midgar, led by Kadaj in the Last Battle... Tifa Lockhart  Tifa is a young woman who lives with Cloud and two orphans, Marlene and Densel. Don't be fooled by her age or her kindness, she can really pack a punch. She's one of the founding members of Barret's group AVALANCHE who's goal is to save the planet, one Mako draining reactor, corrupt corporation and pure evil antagonist at a time. Tifa is a childhood friend of Cloud's but still manages to hide her true feelings for him after all they've been through over the years. Aerith Gainsborough  Marlene Wallace  Denzel 
A new character to the scene. He is a young boy who gets infected with the desease, Geostigma. He follows a bunch of children also infected with the desease to a truck, the children claim that these silver haired men driving the truck will cure them of their desease. Him and Marlene are very good friends and look out for eachother, but will the Geostigma tear their short lives apart? Barret Wallace  Vincent Valentine 
Vincent is very dark and mysterious, with a tragic past which he buries deep inside him, he is also a former Turk, previously working for ShinRa at Nibelheim. The experiments that took place there have scarred him with more than just memories... His voice is quite deep and monotonious, he is used as the fact file filling Cloud in on Geostigma after the battle at the City of the Ancients. He is equipped with a powerful pistol and long gold gauntlets. He is a very experienced fighter who can vanish stealthily in the shadows of the night. Yuffie Kisaragi 
A young and hyperactive young woman with a cheeky personality. She wields a Pinwheel and knows how to use it. Don't underestimate her because of her age, she'll steal any Materia in or out of reach. Although Yuffie plays only a small part in Advent Children as a friend of Cloud and Tifa, she gets to come to the rescue when the group are faced against the Summon, Bahamut. Cid Highwind  Red XIII  Cait Sith  Kadaj 
Cloud's new arch-nemesis-- before Sephiroth of course. Kadaj is quick to anger and is very selfish, which indicates that his personality is strangely child-like, his devotion to his "mother" also shows this. Kadaj's goal is to locate his "mother" and with her create another Reunion, but will it bring peace; a cure for Geostigma, or the ultimate evil? Yazoo  Yazoo is a member of Kadaj's gang who are in search of their "mother". He wields a long gun and combats Cloud for most of his part in the movie, he also kidnaps the sick children infected with Geostigma and takes them to the City of the Ancients to "cure" them. His gender is rather questionable because of his angelic voice and long hair. Loz  The cry-baby of Kadaj's group, but that doesn't make him any weaker in a fight! He wields a nasty electronic device that slips onto his arm and can send fatal electric charges into his foes. His part to play in Advent Children is beating up Tifa and Cloud to a pulp. Sephiroth  Reno 
Best described as a ruffian (and a cool one at that) he doesn't hesitate to get his hands dirty. He's pretty stubborn and hates being left out of the action, but appreciates his days off the job nonetheless. Reno and Rude together can be quite comical and work very well as a team. His job as a Turk is to protect Rufus with his life and with Kadaj's group proving a threat, he's got a lot on his plate. Rude  Known as the bald tough guy with cool shades, Rude's preferrred and only fighting style is hand-to-hand combat. He is a man of few or no words and chooses to fight rather than argue over a problem. Rude is a member of the Turks who protects Rufus with his life, alongside his partner, Reno. He always carries a spare pair of sunglasses-- just in case. Rufus Shinra  A proud man who prefers to bargain and get his way, he is known as the President of ShinRa. He used to wield a shotgun, but after the meteor destroyed Midgar and the ShinRa HQ with it, he can no longer fight and is restricted to a wheelchair. There is a short flash back to the calamity in Advent Children which shows the ShinRa HQ blowing up with him inside it, god knows how he survived. Rufus is concealing something precious from Kadaj's group and won't give it up without a fight. Tseng  Elena  Zack
